Intermediary Entry Criteria
The following awards will be judged by a panel of industry experts. Intermediaries are asked to submit 500 - 800 words for their entry based on the following criteria. Please feel free to upload supporting material, but remember this will be included in the overall word count.
Judges will assess each entry looking for:
- Innovation - what makes the proposition, service or product unique, inspiring, useful or new?
- Strong evidence - It is not enough to simply say what you have achieved - please back this up with info such as statistics and customer feedback.
- Impact - What do you think you have contributed overall to the sector?
Small Intermediary of the Year
Open to all intermediary firms of ten advisers or less. This award will give recognition to the winning firm that it has continually demonstrated over the year that it is at the forefront of the intermediary protection/health insurance markets and is leading the way for firms of similar size to follow. The judges will choose a winner based on core competence, offering clients a bespoke service with clear objectives, improving the reputation of the industry overall.
Protection Intermediary of the Year
Open to all intermediaries writing individual or group protection business. Team or individual entries will be considered. Entries should demonstrate an innovative approach to creating new business, outlining timescales, objectives and results. The entry could touch on success in terms of sales, training and customer service as long as it relates to protection business. Judges will be looking for evidence of individuals or businesses that stand out in terms of implementation, scope or fresh approach.
Healthcare Intermediary of the Year
Open to intermediaries writing individual or group health insurance business. Company or individual entries will be considered. Entries should demonstrate an innovative approach to creating new business, and outline the timescales, objectives and results of the initiative. The winning entry could touch on success in terms of sales, training, recruitment, customer service, product development as long as it relates to health insurance business. Judges will look for a business initiative that stands out in terms of its scale, scope or approach.
Customer Service Award
This award will credit the individual or company that has demonstrated excellent levels of customer service backed by clear standards and adequate monitoring performance. The judging panel will look for evidence of clearly thought-out customer care strategies and proof of their delivery including client and customer satisfaction.
Best Intermediary Promotion of Protection/Health
The winner will be the best example of a positive boost to your business and the market through good promotions. This could be a strong social media presence, effective marketing campaign or any other initiative that raises the profile of protection or health insurance. The example definition is flexible - it could be either a pre-planned campaign or a response to a situation.
Employee Benefits Intermediary of the Year
One of the broadest categories it is open to all intermediaries writing employee benefit business, regardless of product. Entries should demonstrate an innovative approach to improved market share, creating new business or enhancing customer's loyalty. The entry could touch on success in terms of sales, training and customer service as long as it relates to employee benefit business. Judges will be looking for evidence of individuals or businesses that stand out in terms of implementation, scope or fresh approach.
Best Specialist Intermediary
This new category recognises firms that may provide a bespoke service to customers or serve a niche client base. Entries should demonstrate why this service is so needed and what its impact is within either the health or protection markets. The judges will reward firms that can not only discuss how their service differs to more mainstream adviser firms but how it has made a real difference to customers and third parties alike.
Best Overall Intermediary (Individual Achievement)
This is an individual award to recognise an individual from an adviser firm who has worked tirelessly within the protection or health markets. This person will provide an outstanding service to clients and have an outstanding relationship with insurers and other third parties but will also be known for and involved in driving industry behaviour and best practice.
Insurance Personality/Person of the Year
This special award will be presented to an individual working for an insurer who over the past year has really shone and made a difference within the protection or health markets. This will be decided by the judging panel.
Special 20 Years Categories
As we celebrate 20 years of COVER this year, we seek to recognise the industry over the last 2 decades. These categories will be decided by our expert judging panel.
